There will be one-on-one feedback with GM Srinath, sessions on problem-solving, media training, off-the-board learning activities, and many more. Players from five different states will be participating in this masterclass. This event is made possible because of the support of Amitpal Singh and Maestro Chess Academy. The countdown has begun for the Masterclass with GM FST Srinath Narayanan in Hyderabad. The entries are officially closed and we are excited to introduce the final participants of this exclusive masterclass. We received around thirty applications from talented players and after going through each application, we have handpicked 13 rising stars.
Let’s dive into some highlights that make this masterclass truly special:
1) Personalized one-on-one feedback: Each participant will have the golden opportunity to receive individual feedback and engage in a Q&A session with GM Srinath Narayanan. This personalized touch will ensure that every player gains better insights to refine their game.
2) A unique session on composed problems: For the first time, a dedicated online session will be conducted to explore the world of composed problems. Satanick Mukhuty will teach the players the art of solving them. This initiative is aimed at fostering a more profound and holistic understanding of chess among players.
3) Media training for chess players: Another first! After all, it’s about how you present yourself to the world! Players will undergo media training, learning how to handle interviews, pose for professional photoshoots, and build their personal brand. This will help them shine both on and off the board.
4) Off-the-board learning activities: Chess is more than just the 64 squares; it’s a way of thinking! This masterclass will emphasize that by engaging players in activities related to creativity, focus, and mental agility. Dr. Vidhi Karelia, event head at ChessBase India, will engage the players in interesting activities to mentally prepare them.
5) A blend of talent from across India: Players from five different states, Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Haryana will be attending this masterclass.
6) A competitive yet inclusive environment: With an average rating of 1853, the masterclass is carefully structured to benefit both the highest and the least-rated players. This will ensure a great learning experience for all.
7) A balanced and promising Group: After looking at these players, it’s certain that the future of chess certainly looks bright! With an average age of 13, this dynamic group includes six girls and seven boys.
